Whether you are just beginning a fitness program- or a regular exerciser-Vitality Institute has the advanced testing to determine the best fitness program parameters for your individual physiology and age to maximize your results.


  • Interview. We explain the assessment process and discuss outcome expectations as well as your lifestyle, activity, habits, injuries, constraints and preferences
  • Baseline Measurements. Resting heart rate and blood pressure, height and weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference.
  • VO2 Metabolic Test.  Measures your oxygen consumption, carbohydrate and fat burning efficiencies as well as ventilation, heart rate, speed and power.
  • Inbody 570. This test measures the muscle mass and fat distribution within your body, including visceral fat (stored internally around your organs)
  • Basal Metabolic Rate. The amount of energy expressed in calories that a person needs to keep the body functioning at rest.
  • Musculoskeletal Testing. Assesses the four components of muscular fitness: strength, endurance, power and flexibility.
  • Optional Blood Lactate Test. To determine your own individual anaerobic or lactate threshold


  • Based on the data obtained, you will receive individualized heart rate zones, thresholds, pacing guides for running, power zones for cycling as well and recommendations for fitness program design.
  • The optimum exercise intensity level you require to increase the burn of fat and calories, improve cardiovascular fitness and get the greatest benefit from training
  • A fitness plan suited to your needs, preferences, capabilities and schedule.

Most of our clients have a preferred fitness facility close to their home or place of work. With our fitness plan, we can help you get the most out of your membership and training.
